Honoring My Mother

When it comes to mother's, I was blessed to have had one of the best.  This will be my first Mother's Day not having her here to appreciate.  I have no regrets.  That is my message to those who have mother's that are still alive.  Appreciate them while they are still here.  I miss my mother with all my heart, but I can truthfully say, we made the best of our time together.  She was a very special lady.  Quiet spirited and full of unconditional love, not just for her family.  My parents were loved by many, because they shared their love with many.  Happy Mother's Day mom.

A LETTER TO MY MOTHER

Mother:

You are not just the woman who gave me life.
When I look at you, I see more than your outer beauty.
I see a woman who possesses a spirit of kindness and gentleness,
as well as great determination and inner strength.
In you, there is no pretense.
You love with simplicity and sincerity.
As long as I can remember,
you have been slow to anger and slow to wrath.
In your life, forgiveness has been a well-traveled path.
You could teach a lesson on tolerance and temperance.
You have always believed in giving others a second chance.
The Bible has always been your guide.
Cleanliness and Godliness,
Are two things in which you take pride.
Every choice you made for your family
was made with us in mind.
In that, there is no fault anyone can find.
When I think I have seen the best of you,
You surpass what you have already done.
You are the best mother, bar none.
You are a loving Mother and wife,
something you have proven by the way you live your life.
You have helped our family create memories that time can never erase.
For that, in our heart, you will always have a special place.
You have given each of us all that we needed to weave a tapestry of you.
In our eyes, that is more than any mother could do.
Mother, with all my heart, I love you.
