You Can Turn Your Life Around

I know you feel like you're sitting on top of the world,
Because you can have any girl.

You walk around like you're the one,
Never giving a thought to the crazy things you've done.

All you think about is doing what makes you feel good,
And hanging in the hood.

When are you going to get tired of slipping and sliding,
Ducking and dodging, peeping and hiding?

Your life isn't worth a dime,
And you keep doing time.

You're forever yearning,
Never learning.

You complain about the lack of opportunity,
But it’s you who allows them to pass you by.

You blame everyone and everything for what's wrong in your life,
But it's you who refuses to live right.

How long are you going to travel this road?
Don't you know you are carrying a heavy load?

God wants you to be free.
Not living in misery.

If you don't change your ways,
You are living numbered days.

It's time to turn your life around.
It's never too late for the lost to be found.

When you take a stand,
You will become your own man.

You can be whatever you want to be
It’s you who controls your destiny

It doesn’t matter that you live in the hood.
You can still live your life for the good.

If you keep killing, thieving and getting high,
Your life will pass you by,

And you will have nothing to show for your years
But a pocketful of tears.
